Seattle will get to enjoy Potter songs, live

John in Seattle tells us that The Seattle Symphony Orchestra is performing three works of John
Williams this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as part of the very
popular Pops series here. "Prince of Pops" Erich Kunzel will conduct the Symphony in "Symphonic Blockbusters". Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man" and Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" are included.
After Intermission, the Symphony will perform the John Williams works
beginning with "Olympic Fanfare". Then "Fawkes the Phoenix" and
"Harry's Wondrous World" (the goose bumps thrilling finish version!).
Both are from the "Chamber of Secrets". Then, works from "The Lord of
the Rings" and others.

The Symphony's 4490 pipe organ, which dominates the stage,
will be used for some of the performances, but it's been reported that the organist will leave the console during the Potter pieces, though, and will play a special instrument that will make muggles believe in magic. This editor is betting on a Theremin.
